Amanda Gallant is a Philadelphia based artist who works with metal armatures, various forms of stuffing, and fabrics to create soft sculptures of mounted animal heads. All of her pieces start out first as elaborate illustrations that depict every detail down to the stitching, creating a road map to work from as she develops each sculpture.
Amanda also has an Etsy shop where she sells simplified and child-friendly versions of her sculptures called plushies. They hold all the wit and whimsy of her larger scale pieces but are much more huggable.
She lives in a very small house with a very large dog named Charlie, whom she affectionately calls Bro.
